Pathfinder Care was founded by experienced and qualified social workers who have worked in child protection and disability for 20 years.

The founders are trained therapeutic trauma support workers and have personally worked with many children of different ages and circumstances which gives them an understanding of the challenges faced in our community. They are dedicated to making a difference in a young person’s life.p>

Safeguarding children is a key priority across Pathfinder Care. We are committed to effectively promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people and protecting all vulnerable individuals in our services.

All our staff are required to undergo the therapeutic trauma and safeguarding children services training with Australian Childhood Foundation(ACF)

The framework for Pathfinder Care is underpinned by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, to which Australia is a signatory. This sets out obligations to protect children and young people at different stages in their lives, including creating opportunities for wellbeing and to help them realise their potential. It states that children and young people have a right to be heard and need to be recognised and treated as active participants in the development of their own wellbeing.
